Historical of Humanoid Anthros

Then again, 'anthro' can mean a lot of things and be implemented in a lot of different ways. What kind of themes are you going for? If your anthros are supposed to be surrogates for certain human stereotypes, then also including humans might be counterproductive.

For me it depends on the type of anthropomorphic people you want to add. For example I have nothing against Kitsune or shapeshifting animals, or settings that are entirely anthro. When the two are combined for seemingly no reason or just Author Appeal then it grates on me.

Basically tiger people are fine with me, but I don't like catgirls. But it's your world so do whatever you want to do with it. take people's critisism, but if you aren't happy with your world then no-one will be.

My world takes place in our universe just on a planet in the Andromeda galaxy. 90% of the races are anthropomorphic animals. Humans still exist in the milky way on Earth and even have interaction with this world in meaningful ways. They're are just not native to the world.

I guess what I'm trying to say is that it depends on how you spin it. Then again, I'm a firm believer that its your world and you can do with it as you please so long as I can keep the suspension of disbelief.
